We will tailor the attractions and the tour plan to your expectations, so everyone will find something for themselves – after all, it is a paradise, but we cannot promise that you will not want to come back…

Weather

The Maldives has a tropical monsoon climate. Theoretically, we have two seasons: dry and rainy season, but due to climate change they cannot be determined so precisely. It is assumed that the dry season lasts from November to April. However, rainfall during the rainy season, although heavy and violent, does not last very long. The temperature is basically the same throughout the year - it ranges between 32 and 34 degrees Celsius. Air humidity also does not change much and oscillates around 80%. Importantly, the water temperature all year round is about 28 degrees Celsius.

Religion and customs

The Maldives is a religious republic of Islam. The laws and principles written in the Qur'an establish the applicable law. Which for example? Among other things: alcohol is illegal in the entire Maldives, and its import into the Maldives is also prohibited (but don't worry - alcohol found is taken at the border in a deposit that can be collected upon departure). The exception to this rule are resorts and safari boats that have special permits, so only there you can purchase and consume alcohol. Another important point is that on local islands there are separate beaches where you can sunbathe in a bikini.

Maldivian cuisine

The Maldives doesn't actually have any crops of its own (apart from coconut). This results in traditional cuisine not being very rich. Contrary to appearances, the Maldives does not abound in seafood, apart from fish, there are crayfish (called lobsters) and octopus. However, there are no mussels, shrimps, etc. here. Nevertheless, with these few ingredients, the Maldives (also thanks to the proximity of Sri Lanka and India) have developed a really interesting cuisine, mainly based on fish and coconut and countless aromatic spices. It is worth trying not only freshly caught grilled fish, but also coconut milk curry, fried noodles with meat or vegetables and, of course, tropical fruits. On most islands, guesthouse owners serve European dishes such as spaghetti. Everyone will find something for themselves here.

Local islands

Most of the rest you can find here in guesthouses. The islands are rather small, you can easily walk around them in a few dozen minutes, and you can reach the beach in 5-10 minutes on foot. The biggest advantage of local islands is experiencing local customs and the everyday life of local residents. You can also try real island cuisine or take advantage of numerous attractions such as: snorkeling on coral reefs, a trip to Sand bank or Picnic Island, diving with whale sharks or manta rays, cruises during which you can watch wild dolphins, or traditional fishing. from the Maldives. Resorts

Resorts are closed centers or hotels covering the entire island. This is where you can find water villas, swimming pools and animations. Alcohol is also available here, pork is served, and you can wear a bikini freely.

These are definitely huge advantages of resorts, but every coin has two sides, and in this case it is the lack of contact with local culture, cuisine, or simply – monotony. Of course, each of us needs a different form of relaxation, so for those who are looking for peace and beautiful views – the resort will be the perfect solution.
